Who delivers the NBV Connect service?
NBV is a direct route to advice, information and resources which pre-start and small businesses require to be successful. We aim to help make the East Midlands the best place in the UK to start, grow and maintain a successful, healthy business. NBV has been supporting businesses throughout the East Midlands since 1982 and have assisted almost 3000 businesses and helped to create almost 5000 jobs in the past 12 months alone.
How much does it cost to join NBV Connect?
12 months subscription to NBV Connect is £195+VAT. That’s just £16.25+VAT per month for ongoing business support and monthly payment options are available.
I already receive business support, can NBV Connect still benefit me?
You may already receive business support from other organisations which is fine. NBV Connect’s aim is to complement advice already sought from accountants, industry trade associations and business networks which is no doubt valuable, but can also be restrictive.
NBV Connect is a generalist tool which will provide a rounded and objective approach to developing your business. We are specifically interested in supporting you to stimulate growth within your business.
What does the NBV Connect Support Service provide me with?
Business Planning
We can work with you to help you develop your business plans by providing feedback, discussing your business goals with you and making suggestions. However, we will not write your business plan for you.
Strategy
We can work with you to help you develop and review your business strategies i.e. growth and marketing strategies. We can help you to assess the different elements for developing strategies and provide feedback. However, we will not write your business strategies for you.
Efficiencies
We can work with you to help you identify where efficiencies within your business can be made and help you to implement an improvement plan. However, we will not assess or make changes within your business for you or write an efficiency improvement plan for you.
Advice & Support
We provide generalist guidance around a number of key business support queries and act as an objective sounding board so that you are able to make informed decisions connected to your business. However, we will not make decisions for you or advise on specific legal cases, for example a specific health & safety issue or employee related case. But we can refer you onto one of our key partners who can provide specific legal assistance, additional charges may apply.
Growth
We can work with you to help you identify and understand the areas in which you can grow your business. We can help you to explore the opportunities for growth and to develop a growth strategy. However, we will not write a growth strategy for you or develop products and services on your behalf.
Finances
We can help you to understand how to effectively manage your finances and sources of raising finance. However, we will not manage your finances for you or provide or guarantee funding streams.
Staff
We can provide generalist guidance on employing and managing staff. However, we will not advise on specific employee related cases. But we can refer you onto one of our key partners who can provide specific legal assistance, additional charges may apply.
IT
We can work with you to help you review and assess the IT requirements for your business. However, we will not provide IT support or advice on what the IT requirements within your business should be.
Quality Assurance
We can work with you to help you to identify the legislative requirements within your business and industry. We can help you to identify relevant quality assurance systems and schemes and weigh up the potential benefits. However, we will not implement a quality assurance system for you or identify all industry specific legislation but we will help you to identify the relevant agencies that can assist with industry specific legislative requirements and updates.
Innovation
We can work with you to help you identify areas within your business which will potentially benefit from research and development. However, we will not research or develop new products, services and processes on your behalf.
Networking Events
As part of your subscription you will be eligible to attend 3 NBV networking events throughout the East Midlands during a 12 month period. These events will provide you with the opportunity to network with other businesses with a view to making new contacts. However, we can’t secure new clients on your behalf or guarantee new business from attending the events. Although, we can help you to develop effective networking skills; so that you are geared up to secure new business at these events.
NBV Connect Benefits
You will be entitled to a number of benefits which have been specially negotiated with carefully selected partners on behalf of our clients. The NBV Connect benefits package will continue to grow as the service develops. However, we can’t promise that you will use all of the benefits, although using the benefits on offer will help you to get more out of your NBV Connect subscription.
